To put it simply, he is still the best Hollywood actor that I have ever seen. In fact, it was his role in the movie 'Conviction' that gave him a huge buzz and a massive start to his career. However, the only thing that beat his acting skills is his ability to make the characters who you are into a mirror image of yourself.For example, when he started out as a police officer, he played a heavyset black man with a tough physique and dark thoughts. Later on, as his career started expanding, Denzel became a white businessman who made money with the help of an intangible energy, created by the popularity of his career.The character of 'Lil' Leila 'Little Leila' as he was known in the movie, was the 'Lil' who was only just too beautiful for the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department). However, the real challenge for Denzel was to make you believe that he was indeed the God of his city. To do this, he made a few changes in his character's personality and incorporated a lot of other characters into his life. This way, he made it as much like a movie as possible.One of these characters is named 'Black Tom.' To take it one step further, he made the character into a charismatic thug with lots of money and a sense of being above the law. And because the movie also has a musical element to it, there is a singer called 'Black Tom' who becomes your guide through this amazing journey. Throughout the movie, his son is running around making things and trying to gain his father's attention so that the two of them can become famous and be a team.Of course, as Denzel Washington has always said, the acting is not the most important part of the movie. What is equally important, and here comes the clincher, is the writing. This character of Black Tom is portrayed in the script by a brother-sister duo called Mijara Hill and Jaden Smith.Being talented actors in their own right, they have taken the screenplay from its original form and made it into a reality. They created a screenplay that will make you weep with the beauty and love that are being portrayed in this movie.'Suited For Success' by Denzel Washington is the movie that you are looking for if you want to see real acting in your movie. It is not a movie made to entertain you but it is a true story of a genuine human being, who have always strived to achieve his goal, and when the spotlight came down on him, he had that power to make you believe in him and in his characters. He is as good as the role that he is playing in this movie and is very much like you, that is why the movie is a remake of the original one. A retelling of the story to allow more people to witness his talent in acting.
